This book is one of the first great vampire/witch books I've read in an extremely long time. With the genre being so popular, I've started and dropped tons of books in the genre over the last 2 years or so.This book did not disappoint me at all. I listened to it on audio and the narrator was great with the voices and how she used her voice to express everything so well.I've read some reviews that complained about all the description but personally I loved that part. I felt the book was very "lush" with description and it made it much more "tangible' to me. I loved the historical touches in the book as well and felt that gave the book some random touches of authenticity. The author reminded me of Anne Rice in a good way many times. I cannot wait for the next book to come out next year. This one is definitely on my list of favorites.
